Off-Shore Tooling Program

Reed City Tool & Die has created an alliance with several Asian tooling sources.

Several shops have been qualified for design, engineering, size capability, precision, timing, mold complexity, and area of speciality.

We offer this option to our customers who may require low cost tooling in order to be competitive on certain programs.

Our "Offshore Tooling Program" will be tailored to fit the needs of each customer's requirements.

Reed City Tool & Die's involvement can be any or all of the below listed items:

• Initial tooling quotations
• Mold Designs
• Mold Design input, review, and approval (with the customer)
• Program management or program management support.
• Kick off meeting at tool shop.
• Weekly Gantt charts with digital progress pictures.
• Payment of all offshore tool shop invoices
• Coordination of resin for samples and scheduling samples.
• First Shot part review and mold approval prior to shipment.
• Scheduling mold shipment; payment of brokerage fee's, duties and freight costs.
• Receive the mold at Reed City Tool & Die
• Full disassembly and mold component inspection / corrections.
• Delivery of mold to production plant.
• Engineering changes and repair work.
